NEW SEASON | NEW LOOK

“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement and success have no meaning.” - Benjamin Franklin
Another successful summer has passed at Chloe Real Estate. There have been a lot of great changes and a lot of growth within our team.  In the above quote, the implication of the importance of change and growth is something our team embraces on a daily basis. We strive to learn, enhance what we offer our clients and improve administrative systems so that we can operate at an optimal level.  We have updated our website, blog and Facebook page to be able to serve everyone better and be your first source in Real Estate information.
Not only is growth important in our professional lives, but it is also crucial to our personal lives.  It can happen in small steps or giant leaps. We must learn from our mistakes, embrace our successes and look at the world with an open eye. A lifetime of commitment to growth can lead to prosperity, health and happiness.
We look forward to the Fall season; a season of beautiful change and new endeavors. We wish the same to our community of friends, family and clients!

HELPFUL TIPS FOR LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB

The state of the economy has more and more people looking for a new job or changing career paths.  Here are some quick tips to be sure your resume and interviewing skills are solid.
The number one mistake with resumes is spelling and grammatical errors. Do not rely on one spell check only. Have at least two people also proof read it.  Keep your resume limited to one page if possible and be sure your descriptions are inclusive and to the point. Be sure you include all of the basics: objective, education, experience and technology summary.
They say dress for the job you want, not the one you have. This also goes for interviews. Always be dressed, pressed and looking your best. Be prepared and do your research. For each company you apply to, do extensive online reading to be sure you understand the company and their mission. Lastly, be sure your communication skills are strong. A strong handshake, good eye contact and confidence are a must!  And always follow-up with a handwritten thank you note.
When looking for new employment or career opportunities word of mouth is gold, making networking a must.
* Join Linkedin.com, which allows you to connect with current and former associates and their networks.
* Join a local Chamber of Commerce or BNI group as a fast way to meet local colleagues.
* Ask how you can help the people you meet and ask questions to find what is a great referral for them.
* Follow up with a handwritten note or an article of interest to them or their business.
Have you ever considered a career in real estate? Let us help you learn about what you need to do to start!  Basic Steps…
Step 1:  Complete Principals and Practices of Real Estate (60 hours classroom)
Step 2:  Pass the state test and interview with local Brokers
Step 3:  Decide on the company you wish to be affiliated with and submit your licensing documents with the state
Step 4:  Attend training and visit our blog for suggested reading list

SPECIAL NOTE | The path of Hurricane Irene has left many people suffering from damage, loss and displacement. We  sincerely wish a full recovery to all of those effected. Please do not hesitate to share information on how people can help in your neighborhoods so we can share it with the entire Chloe Real Estate community.
