Chloe Real Estate Gives Back
Recently, we asked our Facebook fans "What kind of Charities do you hold near and dear to your heart and if you care to share, why"? In response, the Chloe Real Estate team members have decided to share what charities are important to us. Over the next few months, our Team will take turns sharing a bit about ourselves and the causes / Charities that we love to support. Nicole Higgins, Realtor, will share her story this month...

Noah’s Memorial Classic
Noah’s Memorial Classic is a charity close to my heart. Noah and the Rogers’ family story is one that no parent wishes ever to have to face. Noah was a healthy and happy 11 month old little boy who went to take a nap and never woke up. His death was attributed to Sudden Unexplained Infant Death. His parent’s wish is to live on and dedicate their lives to his memory.

Together, Jenna and Scott Rogers have created Noah’s Memorial Classic as a way to honor their beloved son and carry on his legacy. The golf tournament raises money for SIDS research (as well as other similar organizations) in hopes that one day a cause will be found and that no other parent will have to endure the grief that their family lives with on a daily basis.

In 2011, the first Annual Noah’s Memorial Classic was born and the Rogers’ family and friends raised $25,000 for the CJ Foundation for SIDS and Faith’s Lodge.  This year along with 300 family and friends and the support from Chloe Real Estate the Rogers family hopes to not only reach that goal but beat it. Please consider donating to this cause and help us to keep Noah’s memory and spirit alive.

With Hope.

What's Your DiSC?
DiSC is a personal assessment tool used to improve work productivity, teamwork and communication. DiSC is non-judgmental and helps people discuss their behavioral differences. If you participate in a DiSC program, you'll be asked to complete a series of questions that produce a detailed report about your personality and behavior. This is great for business owners, high school or college graduates, folks on the career hunt or those who are curious to find out their profile and how it can impact their current career or family dynamic.

DiSC profiles help you and your team:
  • Increase your self knowledge: how you respond to conflict, what motivates you, what causes you stress and how you solve problems
  • Learn how to adapt your own style to get along better with others
  • Foster constructive and creative group interactions
  • Facilitate better teamwork and minimize team conflict
  • Develop stronger sales skills by identifying and responding to customer styles
  • Manage more effectively by understanding the dispositions and priorities of employees and team members
In order for people to thrive in a career, their personality and natural strengths should be in line with the position. Here at Keller Williams, we strive to have our people in the right seats on the bus so to speak and everyone takes the DiSC assessment.  Also, we are excited to announce that we have a certified DiSC trainer coming to our West Hartford office to host a DiSC workshop on June 13th from 11am - 1pm. You are welcome to attend as a CRE team guest. Email Chloe@ChloeRealEstate.com to RSVP or for more details.

WHERE IN THE WORLD...Montauk, NY

Montauk is a hamlet, located in the town of East Hampton, on the south shore of Long Island.  As of the 2000 U.S. Census, population was 3,851.

Montauk has been used as an Army, Navy, Coast Guard and Air Force base. Located 20 miles off the Connecticut coast, it is home to the largest commercial and recreational fishing fleet in New York State. Montauk is a major tourist destination and is particularly famous for its fishing (claiming to have more world saltwater fishing records than any other port in the world) and surfing.

Montauk is considered a beach resort, using its position at the tip of Long Island to promote itself as "The Last Resort" and become one of the busiest tourist locations within the town of East Hampton. The small town is host to many restaurants, bed and breakfasts, and hotels and is a popular vacation spot in the warm weather months. Montauk is thought to be more casual and laid back than the Hamptons (located just to the East of Montauk).
